For filming our film opening, we initially planned to film at lunch time, or as school finished, so that there would be a lot of people around, but later realised that it was a lot easier to film where there weren't many people around, so we changed it so that our character was coming out of a 'detention'.
We did however, rope in a few of our friends, to do various background tasks/actions, to make it look like there were still some people in the school. This meant that we were mainly filming during our Media Studies lessons, or when we had free periods.
